Genocide in Gaza

🌾🪷🦦🌾🪷🦦🌾🪷🦦🌾

John Curtis, United States Senator of Utah

John

Each of us may ask ourself, “What would I have done?”

What would I have done if I had been there eighty years ago when a tyrannical leader said he wanted a group of people removed from his country and a majority of people in every other country said they would not allow refuge for people whom lies had taught them to despise?

What would I have done when, with brutality common to humanity, people loyal to a tyrant concluded that if no one cared enough to give refuge to this despised people, then no one would care if they were systematically killed.

What would I have done when a ship with desperate children, despised and secretly removed from the clutches of cruelty, arrived at the shores of our unwelcoming country? Would I have stood forth for them, opening my heart to them, giving them refuge in my arms?

Would I shout, “NO!” when that ship, still carrying it’s crying cargo of children was refused harbor and set sail to return those victims to those devils seeking their death?

Now we each know what we would have done! We are doing now what we would have done then!

Such a time as then is here again. It is always here. Satan promised to reign here with bloodshed and horror, buying up armies and navies and false priests to oppress. He has kept his promise. He can only do so with complicit people to do his bidding.

We are all born kind, but lies can make us otherwise. Lies can cause fear, which can cause hate, which can cause violence. Each of us are capable of terrible violence or tremendous benevolence.

When a tyrant unleashed Satan’s complicit crowd to systematically kill their victims, the atrocity which occurred was given a name, genocide. It was hoped by some people, recognizing in retrospect what had occurred when people who could have helped, instead, did nothing, that by defining it, people would recognize it sooner and respond.

We don’t need to wait for someone to tell us whether a genocide is occurring or not, the spirit within each of us recognizes and knows when we each need to respond to protect and defend our fellow beings, our sisters and brothers, children, hungry and hurt.

But will we respond when we see people in need? Are we responding?

Responding against tyranny is always treacherous. Those who are timid or weak of spirit; those who are more selfish than caring; may cower, hide or comply.

What is and has been occurring for decades in Gaza is GENOCIDE! We don’t need to wait for the death tally to decide.

In a court of law, anyone supplying weapons used to kill is considered complicit in that crime; especially when the criminal committing the killing has demonstrated a propensity to perpetuate violence. Anyone encouraging violence or standing by unresponsive while it occurs is also complicit by their persuasion or inaction.

A third of the people always prove prone to follow devils and despots, tyrants and terrorists, presidents and pundits. Usually that third is endeavoring to hurt another third of us. They can only succeed in their deed, though, if the final third of us sit down when we need to stand up, stand back when we need to step forward, and stay silent when we need to speak out!

You, John Curtis, are in a position of power, elected to be our voice in the Senate of our United States. Why are you silent about the Genocide in Gaza, while tens of thousands of children’s body’s and lives are torn apart by weapons provided by our nation? Why are you silent while millions of people stare across the desert through barbed wire fences at food we provided, kept from them by a tyrant and his complicit comrades in this massacre of revenge, acquisition and genocide, masquerading as protection of it’s perpetrators.

You said in a letter to me that you are familiar with the current situation in Palestine and with its complex history and possible solutions. Where have you been while this latest atrocity has been occurring?

Please, John Curtis, stand up, step forward and speak out about the genocide in Gaza. This genocide can only occur at this level with weapons, funding, silence and complicit cooperation by people and politicians of our nation of United States.
